B-2-V important info

DO NOT SPEED on the way out to Vegas. For those who were part of the team last year, an alternate runner was pulled over and while it may have seemed funny at the time, it did not represent the Coast Guard in a positive light. CHP knows it is B2V weekend and we do not want them to be put in the position of issuing us a ticket…or even worse…PENALTY MINUTES!!! Penalty Minutes can make or break the race.

For safety reasons, runners from Stage 18, 19, and 20 will NOT be able to use any sort of sound producing device. i.e. an iPod.

We are still looking for Tire Chains for the Follow Vehicle.

This year, we have 247 teams that are running in the race.

Some of the stages space is at a premium. At Stages 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, and16, only Shuttle Vans (Runners and Catchers) and Follow Vehicles ONLY – But since we wont be on the course unless we are in a Shuttle Van or Follow Vehicle, this will not be an issue for use. At Stage 16, DO NOT PARK @ the Mountain Spring Saloon. They HATE this race and have been known to have vehicles towed away.

Due to the recent heavy rains, Stages 4, 5, and 9 have large areas covered with mud. In years past, a few teams have had vehicles get tuck in the mud. If you are members of AAA, you might want to note that the majority of the race is in an exclusionary zone for AAA, get what I’m saying?

We got the quote for the team T-Shirt. They will run $10 for the Cotton T-Shirt and $20 for Dry-Fit shirts. Please let PO Lesley know your size and quantity ASAP.
